Octomore 16.3 is a heavily peated Islay single malt from the Bruichladdich Distillery, bottled at a cask strength of 61.6% in a 70cl bottle. The malt measures 189.5 PPM and the spirit was distilled from 100% Scottish Concerto barley.
It matured for 5 years in Bourbon, Sauternes and Pedro Ximenez casks.
The nose is fruity, with apricot, pineapple, Sauternes and green apple, plus floral notes and campfire smoke. The palate balances fruity, sweet flavours with peat and a salty edge, including apple, apricot and vanilla. The finish is long, with sweet barley, campfire and citrus.
