Octomore 17.2 is a five year old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 59.5% ABV. It is distilled from 100% Scottish mainland Concerto barley.
The maturation follows a layered route. The spirit spent time in French oak that had previously held Californian red wine, then bourbon, and then Octomore itself, before being finished in first-fill port barriques.
