Octomore 17.3 is a 5 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 60.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled entirely from Concerto barley grown in Irene's Field at Octomore Farm on Islay, and peated to 132.1 PPM.
The maturation draws on casks from several countries: first-fill bourbon barrels from the USA, together with second-fill Ribera del Duero, Sauternes, Syrah and German Eiswein casks.
Intense smoke sits alongside a sweet, complex profile of charred cake, marzipan, burnt sugar, dried fruits, candied citrus peel, anise and clove, lifted by fragrant jasmine and honeysuckle.
