Old Louisville The Kentucky Series is an 8 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle. Each label in the series spells out one letter of the word Kentucky in large type. The bourbon was distilled at Bardstown Bourbon Company from a mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley.
It was aged for 8.5 years in level 3 charred new American oak barrels, filled at 120 proof.
The nose is typically described as floral, with homemade bread, toasted almonds and vanilla. The palate brings dark cherries, rye spice and sweet caramel, and the finish has baked spiced apples and lingering cloves.
