Old Malt Cask Dailuaine 16 Year Old is an independent single cask bottling from Hunter Laing's Old Malt Cask series. The single malt was distilled at Dailuaine in Speyside and matured in oak for 16 years.
The colour is a deep golden amber, with a full-bodied, smooth mouthfeel. The nose is typically described as dark chocolate, rich toffee and stewed fruits, with soft oak spice and a hint of dried berries. The palate is creamy, with sweet caramel, stewed orchard fruits, dark cocoa, a little nutmeg and warm oak. The finish is long, with dry oak spice, dark chocolate and lingering fruit sweetness.
