Old Parr De Luxe 12 Year Old (75cl, 40%)

A blended Scotch whisky from Old Parr, made from malt and grain whiskies aged for at least 12 years in oak casks. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV. The blend is rich in malt, with Cragganmore and Glendullan as the base malts. The name comes from Thomas Parr, a man said to have lived for 152 years between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, whose reputation for long life inspired a well-aged blend. The nose is sweet, with honey, vanilla and ripe fruit. The palate shows caramel, walnut, prune and spiced oak, balanced between sweetness and light earthy notes. The finish is medium to long and warm, with honey and wood.
