This is Big Peat's Finest, a 14-year-old Islay single malt from 2005, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range as a French Connections edition. It is limited to 259 bottles and is bottled at 54.6% in a 70cl bottle. Fred Laing took his Big Peat across the line that separates blended malts from single malts, which is how this version came to join the Old Particular collection. The whisky is described as heavily peated, smoky and rocky.
