Old Perth Palo Cortado Cask Strength Limited Edition (70cl, 55.8%)

Old Perth Palo Cortado is a blend of Speyside single malts from Morrison Distillers, bottled at its natural cask strength of 55.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the second limited edition in the Old Perth range, following the Pedro Ximenez. The base whiskies spent 12 to 24 months finishing in first-fill Palo Cortado butts. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. Only 7,200 bottles were filled worldwide. The nose offers honeysuckle, vanilla cream and spiced biscuits. On the palate come fruit, spicy sherry, nutty Palo Cortado character, sweet berries and dark honey. The finish is very long, fruity and sweet at first, then turning to a fine, spicy dryness.
