This is a six year old straight rye from Old Potrero, bottled at 48.5% ABV. It is distilled in San Francisco, entirely in pot stills, from a mash bill of 100% malted rye.
Old Potrero was created by Fritz Maytag, who also bought Anchor Brewing in 1965 and founded the original Anchor Distilling Co., now Hotaling & Co. It is credited as the first American craft whiskey to reach the market since Prohibition.
