This is a limited-edition San Francisco rye whiskey from Old Potrero, number three in the California Cellar Series. It is aged for 8 years and bottled at 50% ABV, with each bottle individually numbered.
The toasted barrel rye is finished in Gewurztraminer wine barrels from Gundlach Bundschu Winery in Sonoma, adding floral and fruit character to the spice and oak.
The nose offers dried apricot, floral notes, toasted oak and a touch of white pepper. On the palate, rye spice meets honeyed fruit, vanilla, floral sweetness and baking spice. The finish is long and warm, with oak tannins and lingering fruit.
