Old Potrero 2025 Christmas Spirit is a 9 year old rye whiskey from Old Potrero in San Francisco, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made from 100% pot-distilled rye and was aged in oak.
This is the 2025 release in the distillery's annual Christmas Spirit series. It was produced in a run of 599 hand-numbered bottles, and the label carries a tree and Golden Gate Bridge design.
The tasting notes describe spiced orange, pine resin and baking spices on the nose, then toffee, dark cherry, clove and toasted oak on the palate. The finish is warm, with cinnamon, molasses and a touch of fruitcake.
