Old Pulteney 12 Year Old is a single malt from Wick in Caithness, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV.
It is matured in air-dried, hand-selected ex-bourbon casks, and the maritime character of the distillery shows in the glass alongside a balance of fruit and spice. The colour is a deep amber.
The nose is green apple with a subtle coastal brine. The palate offers honeyed cream and light citrus, and the finish is long and warming, with toffee sweetness and a hint of salt.
