Old Pulteney Huddart Scotch Whisky (75cl, 46%)

Old Pulteney Huddart is a single malt without an age statement, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the only Old Pulteney with a peat influence, and that peat comes through the cask rather than the malt. The whisky matures first in second-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks, then is finished in casks that previously held heavily peated whisky. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring. The name is that of the street in Wick where Pulteney Distillery stands, and it joined the core range in 2018. The nose is sea spray and malt over a wisp of bonfire smoke. The palate pairs honey and citrus with peat smoke and spice, and the medium-long finish is drying smoke, sea salt and oak.
