Old Pulteney 16 Year Old Double Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky from the coastal town of Wick. It has spent its 16 years maturing in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
It is a rich amber in the glass. The nose offers dried fruits, toffee and spices, with hints of sea salt and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, with rich toffee, dark chocolate and citrus, and a subtle maritime influence.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness and a touch of oak.
