Old Pulteney 18 Years Old is a single malt with a clear sherry influence from its finish. The nose is sherried, with salty sea spray, a mix of spices and a cocktail of light fruits.
On the palate it is spicy and maritime, bitter-sweet with a salty edge. Sherry is present but less dominant, alongside a tart fruit note and firm oak whose bitterness gradually moves forward. The finish is very spicy, led by oak at first, before the bitterness fades and it becomes more harmonious.
