This is a 25-year-old single malt from Old Pulteney Distillery in Wick, in the Highlands, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1826 and sits on the North Sea coast, and the whisky was matured in carefully selected oak casks.
The nose offers honey, dried apricot, citrus peel, vanilla and sea breeze. The palate is layered, with caramel, orchard fruits, oak spice, roasted nuts and a subtle salinity. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering sweetness, spice and coastal notes.
