Ondjaba Rum Cask Finish Namibian Triple Grain Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Ondjaba Rum Cask Finish is a Namibian triple grain whiskey, made, matured and bottled by Erongo Mountain Winery in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It uses local grain including mahangu, which is dried over burning elephant dung rather than peat. The whiskey matures first in virgin oak and refill casks, then takes on a rum cask finish. It is bottled non-chill-filtered and with no colour added. On the nose it offers ripe, spicy smoke with dark cherries, blackberries and vanilla. The palate is powerful yet soft, with red fruit, creamy caramel, cinnamon and sandalwood.
