Ondjaba Signature Edition #2 – The Namibian Whiskey (70cl, 51%)

Ondjaba Signature Edition #2 is a Namibian whiskey made at the Erongo Mountain Winery, bottled at 51% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration. The base is a triple grain mash that includes mahangu millet, a traditional Namibian grain. Elephant dung is used in place of peat to give the malt a light, earthy smoke. The whiskey matured in Namibia's hot climate in virgin oak, red wine and brandy casks. The nose is nutty, with roasted grain and a fine smoke like dry, sun-scorched wood. The palate is creamy and full, with spicy oak and the gentle sweetness of dried fruit, followed by a long, aromatic finish.
