Ondjaba The Namibian Whiskey Gravino Cask Finish (70cl, 46%)

Ondjaba is a Namibian whiskey made by the Erongo Mountain Winery at an altitude of more than 1,200 metres. It is made with mahangu, a millet grown in Namibia for thousands of years, and the grain is smoked over elephant dung, which gives a sweet, slightly cigar-like aroma. This bottling is finished in Gravino casks, which previously held the winery's own port-style fortified wine. It is bottled at 46% with no added colour. The nose is smoky, with sweet, cigar-like spice and ripe fruit. The palate balances spicy smoke with sweet fruit. The finish is long and warm, with a gentle fruit sweetness and spice.
