Ondjaba The Namibian Whiskey Rum Cask Finish (70cl, 46%)

Ondjaba is a Namibian whiskey made from three grains, among them local mahangu millet. The grain is dried over smoke from treated elephant dung, which gives it an unusual smoky character. After repeated distillation it is matured in new oak and refill casks, then finished in rum casks that add fruity, sweet and spicy notes. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour. Expect spicy smoke with dark cherries, blackberries and vanilla on the nose. The palate brings sweet red fruit, creamy caramel, cinnamon, wood and sandalwood. The long finish dries with cocoa, spices and a touch of sandalwood.
