This is an Orkney single malt from Signatory Vintage, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026 after 14 years. The distillery is not named. It is edition 71 and is bottled at 100 proof, which is 57.1%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was finished in first-fill oloroso sherry butts, adding sherry richness to gentle smoke and honeyed malt.
The nose offers heather smoke, dried fruit, orange peel and soft spice. On the palate come honeyed malt, sherry-soaked oak, gentle peat and warming spice. The finish is long, smoky and sweet, with a coastal freshness.
