Highland Park Viking Honour is a 12 year old single malt from Orkney, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It carries the Viking-themed packaging introduced in 2017, while the whisky inside is the familiar Highland Park 12, with a heather-honey sweetness and a warming, silky mouthfeel.
The nose is fresh and aromatic, with floral notes, light grassiness, creamy Manuka honey and a touch of citrus. The palate is fairly full, with grilled orange, granary toast and jasmine green tea over a gentle sweetness. The finish is quite long, with peppery spice and wood shavings.
