Orkney 2013/2025 11 Year Old 1st Fill Barrel (70cl, 63.6%)

This is an Orkney single malt, distilled on 11th November 2013 and bottled on 14th March 2025 at a natural cask strength of 63.6%. The lightly peated spirit matured fully in a first fill bourbon barrel, which yielded 203 bottles. It was bottled by Hannah Whisky Merchants. Orkney has only two malt whisky distilleries, and this is the only one on the archipelago that makes smoky spirit. The distillate is known for its heather honey character, and the first fill barrel adds layers of sweetness and vanilla. The palate is described as pear tart, tea and runny honey.
