Paprocky is a Polish single malt made from malted barley by Bartex Bartol, a family company in Paproć near Nowy Tomyśl, which gave the brand its name. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured for at least three years in new American oak casks. The fresh wood gives a spicy oak note, and the body is soft and slightly oily.
The nose is green apple and pear with honey, vanilla, marzipan and nuts. On the palate toffee and caramel meet vanilla and spicy oak, with a light hint of smoke. The finish is long and dry, with oak and tobacco.
