Parker's Heritage Collection 15th Edition is an 11-year-old Kentucky straight wheat whiskey from Heaven Hill, released as an annual tribute to the late Master Distiller Parker Beam.
It was aged on the sixth floor of Rickhouse Y in barrels charred for 90 seconds at Level 5, against 40 seconds for the standard Level 3 char. Seventy-five barrels were selected. It is bottled at 61% ABV (122 proof), non-chill filtered, in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is rich and warm, with molasses, butterscotch and vanilla. The palate is soft, with molasses, toffee and warm grain, and the long finish brings butterscotch and oak spice.
