Patrón Añejo is a tequila made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, and distilled in small batches. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
The tequila is aged for over 12 months in a combination of American oak, French oak and used whiskey barrels. This ageing adds vanilla, caramel and toasted oak while keeping the bright agave character.
The nose shows cooked agave, vanilla, oak and light citrus. The palate is smooth, with caramel, honey, toasted oak and dried fruit. The finish is warm and balanced, with lingering vanilla and soft spice.
