Peat's Beast PX Cask is a cask strength single malt from Scotland, finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and bottled at 54.1%. The finish adds a sweeter, fruitier side to a strongly peated whisky.
Dried fruit and syrupy sherry sweetness sit against the peat smoke and warm spice.
The nose is intense peat smoke with rich sherry, sweet dried fruit, treacle and warm spices. The palate is full and powerful, with peat smoke and sweet fruit, dried fruit and syrupy sweetness, balanced by spice. The finish is long and intense, with lasting peat smoke, sweet sherry and fruity accents.
