Region
Burgundy
Type
White wine
A Meursault from a 1.7 ha monopole vineyard owned by Domaine Philippe Bouzereau, with vines planted between 1996 and 2001 on deep, stony subsoil. The estate has been in transition to organic cultivation since 2015. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels with batonnage, followed by 12 months on lees in 228 l barrels, 30% new, then 6 months in larger steel tanks. The wine is fined but not filtered before bottling. It is bright, light golden, with aromas of white flowers, peach and vanilla and a discreet touch of oak. The palate combines coolness, minerality and velvety texture, with exotic nuances and a structured finish.
