Pinhook Collaboration Series Edition No. 2 Garrett Oliver Aged 4 Years Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 59.5%)

Pinhook Collaboration Series Edition No. 2 is a 4 year old high rye straight bourbon from 2022, made with Garrett Oliver, the Brooklyn Brewery brewmaster. It was distilled at Still Austin in Texas, then blended and proofed by Pinhook from 20 selected barrels. It matured for four years in new charred oak in the Texas heat, and is bottled at 118.9 proof (59.45%) in a 75cl bottle. Proceeds fund 20 scholarships in brewing and distilling through the Michael James Jackson Foundation, which Oliver chairs. The nose is tropical fruit, baking spice and chocolate. The palate brings deep gingerbread, caramel and dark cherry, with a flourish of liquorice.
