Pinino Rosso di Montalcino DOC

A red wine from Montalcino, made mainly from Sangiovese. It comes from an area known for elegant, structured wines, with galestro-rich soils and a microclimate suited to grape ripening. It shows a lively ruby colour, with floral notes and fresh red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, plus a delicate spicy touch. On the palate it is harmonious, with soft but balanced tannins and a pleasant freshness. Ageing in steel, and in some versions a short time in large wooden casks, preserves its natural liveliness. It suits light meat dishes, cured meats and semi-aged cheeses.
