This is a single malt from the Pōkeno distillery in New Zealand, made for the Lord of the Rings Ringbearer edition. It is distilled from New Zealand barley, matured in selected oak casks and bottled in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is a dark amber colour.
The nose combines Mānuka honey, vanilla and white chocolate with fresh melon and white peach. The palate is spicy, with banana and melon giving way to rich honey on warm buttered toast. The finish is long and rich, with Mānuka honey and lingering warmth.
