A New Zealand single malt from the Pōkeno distillery, released in the Lord of the Rings Ringbearer edition for the 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings. It comes in a 70cl bottle laser-etched with a depiction of the One Ring and finished with a gold-colour fill.
The whisky is distilled from New Zealand barley and matured in oak casks. It is dark amber in colour.
The nose is Mānuka honey, vanilla and white chocolate, moving to fresh melon and white peach. The palate is spicy, with banana and melon, then rich honey on buttered toast. The finish is long, with Mānuka honey and lingering warmth.
