Port Askaig 100 Proof is an Islay single malt from Elixir Distillers, bottled at 57.1% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose combines peat smoke with lively citrus, sweet ripe apple and soft vanilla. On the palate, strong pepper and maritime notes meet a smooth milk chocolate sweetness, and the whole is intense and well spiced. The finish is long, with fruity apple and creamy vanilla carried by steady smoke.
