Port Askaig 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt released by Elixir Distillers of London in 2024. The whisky comes from an undisclosed producer on the north of the island and is bottled at 50.5% without chill filtration.
It was vatted from 30 refill hogsheads after 15 years of maturation.
The nose combines peat, citrus and mild spice with toasted vanilla pod, sea air, barbecued orange and dried oregano. On the palate, citrus and honey meet Islay smoke, sea salt, lemongrass, brown sugar and a touch of tobacco. The finish is long, warming and spicy, with ripe melon, rock salt and sooty smoke.
