Port Askaig 2004 is a single vintage Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at a cask strength of 54.3%. It is a limited edition from whisky of the 2004 vintage. It is described as robust and maritime in style, with substantial peat. The nose is said to bring warm peat smoke, sea air, charred wood and a salty note. The palate is rich and smoky with an oily mouthfeel, citrus peel, spice and slightly medicinal undertones. The finish is long, smoky and dry, with mineral and maritime notes.
