Port Askaig 2014 Sherry Cask Quarter is an Islay single malt bottled at 45.8%, matured entirely in sherry quarter casks. These smaller casks bring a concentrated flavour to the whisky. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is smoky, with raisins, figs, warm oak and a hint of sea air. The palate offers rich sherry, roasted nuts, peat smoke, dark chocolate and soft spice. The finish is long, warming and smoky, ending on a sweet sherry note.
