Port Askaig Sherry Cask

Port Askaig Sherry Cask is an Islay single malt bottled by Elixir Distillers. It matured in sherry casks from southern Spain, which bring sultana and orange peel notes alongside the island smoke. It is non-chill-filtered and free of added colouring, with a deep amber colour. Ripe sultanas and dark chocolate meet a sea breeze and coal smoke on the nose. The palate is full, with orange and dark chocolate beneath dense smoke. The finish is long, with fruity sweetness and fading coal smoke.
