Port Charlotte 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, matured in first and second fill American whiskey casks and second fill French wine casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines green grape, fresh citrus, salty seaweed and chimney smoke with sweet, biscuity custard cream tones. Vanilla and oak join the salty smoke on the palate, and the finish carries some heat before drying like a cracker biscuit.
