This is Port Charlotte SYC:01, a heavily peated Islay single malt distilled in 2013. It is the first release in the Cask Exploration series and is bottled at 54.4% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in Syrah casks. The full-bodied red wine adds rich red fruit and delicate spice, set against Port Charlotte's characteristic peat smoke.
