This is an 18-year-old Lowland single grain whisky from Port Dundas, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2022 by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. It comes from a single ex-bourbon barrel, which gave 223 bottles at 48.4% ABV. The nose offers vanilla sponge with butter icing, giving way to hard candy sweetness. On the palate come vanilla custard cream biscuits, hot toffee sauce and spiced oak. The finish holds vanilla alongside sweetcorn and warm, bittered gingerbread.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
