This is a 28-year-old single grain Scotch whisky from Port Dundas, the Glasgow distillery that has since closed. It was distilled in October 1988 and bottled by Douglas MacGibbon for its Clan Denny series, at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a single refill oak hogshead and was bottled without chill filtration, in a run of 249 bottles. The nose is clean, warm toffee with baked spices and sweet sherbet. On the palate, concentrated citrus fruit sits over crème anglaise, vanilla and mocha. The finish is long, with lingering barley sugar.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
