This is an 18-year-old Lowland single grain whisky from Port Dundas, distilled in 2004 and bottled in late 2022 by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular series. It comes from a single refill barrel, which gave 223 bottles at 48.4% ABV. The whisky is bottled without colouring or chill filtration, and is sold in a 70cl bottle. The official notes describe a nose of vanilla sponge with butter icing, giving way to hard candy sweetness. The palate brings custard creams, hot toffee sauce and spiced oak, and the finish carries vanilla, sweet corn and warm buttered gingerbread.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
