This is a 31 year old Port Dundas single grain whisky, bottled independently by WM Cadenhead at 51.3% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 1988 and matured for 31 years. Port Dundas was a Glasgow grain distillery, built in 1811 and closed by Diageo in 2010. Its spirit was a key component in blends including Johnnie Walker and White Horse. The nose offers toffee, golden syrup and brandy snaps. On the palate there are rum notes, warm banana loaf and vanilla pods, and the finish brings flat cola, pistachio nuts and salted caramel.
