A single cask Port Ellen from 1982, aged 29 years and bottled by Old Bothwell at 55.5% ABV.
The nose opens with tobacco, leather and ripe banana, with smoke, salt and a tingle of lemon. The palate runs from salt, sea and tar to old tobacco, grilled honey banana and pepper steak with campfire smoke, with orange and iodine as well.
The finish is long and dry, with salt, smoke, exotic sweetness and tobacco with brown sugar.
