This is a 28-year-old single malt from Port Ellen, the Islay distillery that closed in 1983, in a 70cl bottle at 50% ABV.
It was distilled in March 1983, shortly before the distillery shut in May of that year, and matured in a refill sherry hogshead. Douglas Laing & Co bottled it in March 2011 for their Old Malt Cask range, with about 162 bottles released.
