Port Ellen – 4th Release 25 Year Old 1978 (70cl, 56.2%)

Port Ellen 25 Year Old is the fourth release in the annual series of cask-strength Port Ellen bottlings from the late 1970s. The whisky was distilled in 1978 and bottled by the distillery in 2004 as an official release, at a natural cask strength of 56.2% abv, in a 70cl bottle. The release ran to 5100 bottles. Tasting notes describe it as bold and powerful.
