Big Vat Liar is a 6 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Potter Jane Distillery of Springfield, Kentucky, in a 75cl bottle at 54.95% ABV.
It is a sourced whiskey, which is unusual for this distillery. Founders Denny Potter and Jane Bowie had vowed to release only whiskey they had distilled themselves, but in June 2026 they announced this aged bourbon instead, saying they had missed the chance to wait for their own to mature. They made the announcement as a self-deprecating apology.
