Powers – Gold Label Irish Whiskey

Powers Gold Label is an Irish whiskey cut from the heart of the distillate, so that more of the top and tail is discarded than for any other Irish whiskey. It then matures in selected American oak casks, where its spicy, bold character develops. The nose combines cinnamon, clove oil and white pepper with russet apples and ripe pears, over charred oak. The palate adds green peppers, nutmeg, orchard fruits, vanilla and toasted oak on a crisp barley core. The finish is long, with pot still oils and spices fading to barley, toasted wood and honey.
