Powers 12 Year Old John's Lane Release is an Irish pot still whiskey, made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills.
It is aged for 12 years, mostly in ex-bourbon casks, with a small portion matured in Oloroso sherry butts. The body is rich, mouth-filling and warming.
The nose brings barley, copper, fresh oak, leather and juicy fruit. On the palate it is very smooth, with vanilla, dry spice, chocolate, coffee, raisins and blackcurrants. The finish carries more vanilla and drying copper notes.
