Pure Scot Midnight Peat (70cl, 44.5%)

Midnight Peat is a Scotch whisky from the Pure Scot brand, bottled at 44.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in casks that previously held spiced, smoky peated whisky, following at least three years in oak. The recipe was devised by master distiller Nick Savage together with Australian cocktail makers. The colour is golden copper. The nose brings chocolate and a floral note of citrus apples over light smoke. On the palate there is rich campfire smoke with caramelised apples, honey and vanilla, leading to a medium finish that is spiced and sweet, with a last tingle of smoke.
